1st Line:

וקומה ברך שפל רוח שפל פיוט is a holy song / קדוש שיר and its a song that is put in sefer tfillot.

In red = שיבוץ and גיבוב

In blue =

רוח שפל was written during the time of the Middle Ages when the Muslims took over Spain. There was competition between the Arabs and the Jews. They both began to write holy songs and פיוטים. But during this time the Jews had it good in Spain and it was known as the Golden Age (הזהב טור). רוח שפל is also said on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashana.

Someone who is humble and ענו will be rewarded and get a blessing. The writer says I will be ענו spiritually and physically I will bow down to you and be humble.

I am bringing myself closer to G-d through fear. Today we bring ourselves close to G-d through תפילה.

אקדמך = להתפלל but according to מיכא, this does not only refer to praying it also refers to giving Korbanot.

This first line is a יחוד משפט and the author does this in order to stress his message of making ourselves low, physically and spiritually and serving hashem. He also uses הפתיחה תפארת to get the attention of the readers.

2nd Line:

He says I am coming before you Hashem, I am the משורר and I am like a worm. Im coming to you humbly and with fear. Who am I in front of you? Im nobody, Im like nothing, Im like the worm in the ground!

3rd Line:

Hashem fills the entire world and there is no end to his greatness. G-d isnt like a worm (תולעת), he is big and there is no end to him. But Im like a  worm and how do I even dare pray to you (Hashem)? How do humans have the nerve to turn to G-d and pray to him, we are so small and insignificant!

4th Line:

Even the angels in the sky cant understand Hashems greatness! So how can a simple human being even begin to comprehend what you are?!

5th Line:

Why do we even pray? Because you are the G-d that does good for me, and does Chesed for me even though I am like a worm in the ground. And with all my Neshama, I want to thank you for everything youve done for me and praise you for your chesed.
